Excel spreadsheets for investors

Club cafe-ers,

I help local Cincinnati schools with the national Stock Market Game - a SIFMA initiative to help teach financial management to middle and high school students. To help integrate with other parts of the curriculum, I am looking for EXCEL spreadsheets students could use / modify / adapt to help them find growing companies selling at a discount. We also want to be able to track a team's performance, so spreadsheets that access prices, plot growth, compute something would be helpful.

You can email me directly at roger.stafford@fuse.net

I would suggest using the Bob Adams spreadsheets. They are well proven and cover a host of issues from analysis to annual reports to portfolio management. http://bob-adams.net/

Hi Roger,

If you go to Morningstar.com, you'll see an Export link on many of the pages which you could use to easily export financial data to a spreadsheet:

Once you have exported the data to a spreadsheet, it would be easy to graph it or do calculations on it.
