Reconciling Form 1099
Laurie, et. al.,

Just got my 1099 from Folio.  The qualified dividends came out to the penny but I have a slight difference between short and long term gains/losses.  On short term loses bivo shows $152 while Folio shows $134, difference of $18.  For total long term gains bivio shows $18,419 while Folio shows $18,426 or $7 difference. By the time this is distributed over ten partners is it worth my time and if so what should I do? From an over worked Treasurer in Georgia....:-).

Hi Larry,

Discrepancies of several dollars will show up on your club tax return which is what the IRS will be matching to.

To give you a general answer to your question, it is usually actually easier to keep your records correct than to start ignoring things and making "adjustments".

For specific answers to what needs to be done about your clubs specific questions, please send your question to support@bivio.com
