CFIC President Job Description:

Specific Title: President

 

Reports to: The General Board

 

General Summary:

 The President’s duty is to preside over meetings, set meeting dates and locations, appoint committees, and see that resolutions passed by the partnerships are carried out.  The President shall act as the official representative of the Investment Club to oversee the continuity of the associations’ goals.

 Essential Functions:

 

bulletCall and conduct meetings of the Investment Club governing board, and assign and supervise the duties of other officers.

 

bulletCarry out the official actions of the governing board.

 

bulletPrepare and distribute an agenda of all business to be discussed in a timely manner.

 

bulletDirect the design and implementation of a detailed operating procedure to administer the business and operating procedures of the Investment Club.

 

bulletCoordinate the efforts of other officers in developing and maintaining the operating structure, constitution and bylaws and the rules and regulations governing the Investment Club and it’s membership.

 

bulletMonitor all business and operations of Conway First Investment Club and delegate new issues to the appropriate officer for assignment.

 

bulletTake emergency action as needed in regard to the improper conduct of any board member or member.

 

bulletApprove expenditure of funds held by the association.

 

bulletOthers duties as assigned by the general board

Qualifications:

 

bulletBachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred

CFIC Vice President's Job Description:

Specific Title: Vice-President

 Reports to: President

General Summary:

The Vice-President takes the place of the President when the President is absent or incapacitated.  The Vice-President shall assign companies to report on at Club meetings to each partner and shall be responsible for insuring that the Club’s study program is properly carried out.  The Vice-President will oversee the general business as directed by the President.  The Vice-President will work with the President to insure that policies and procedures are carried out as determined by the governing board and set forth in the bylaws.

 Essential Functions

bulletAssume the duties of the President in the event the President should refuse or be unable to perform the duties of the Investment Club as set forth by the governing board.

 

bulletAssist the President.

 

bulletCarry out specific duties as assigned by the President.

CFIC Treasure and Assistant Treasure Job Description:

Specific Title: Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer

Reports to: President

General Summary: 

The Treasurer’s duty is to keep record of the Club’s receipts and disbursements and partners’ interests in the Club.  The Treasurer will give partners receipts for payments, place the buy and sell orders authorized by the partners with the Club’s broker, and prepare the Club’s monthly valuation statement.  He/she will see that the needed tax information is compiled and file the necessary reports.  The Treasurer will manage the financial and material resources of the Investment Club and keep the books according to the bylaws of the association.  The Treasurer will also keep accurate and detailed records of all income and expenditures and be able to provide reports to the President or governing body at any time.

Essential Functions

bulletEnsure all funds are deposited in the general fund and held in a federally insured account as detailed in the constitution and bylaws.  Maintain appropriate bank accounts in the club’s name at all times.

 

bulletMake sure that corporate registrations and federal tax forms are filed in a complete and timely manner each year.

 

bulletAdminister expenditures of funds and other assets of the Investment Club to its creditors with the approval of the President.

 

bulletPrepare a detailed written financial report, budget and audit report and present it to the entire board upon request.

 

bulletWork with President to prepare a budget and prepare report on finances at Board meetings.

 

bulletReceive and keep accurate records of all incoming money (dues and etc.).

 

bulletPay all club bills and keep accurate records of all expenses.

 

bulletThe Assistant Treasurer must perform all duties when treasure is not present.

 Qualifications:

CFIC Secretary Job Description:

Specific Title: Secretary

Reports to: President

General Summary: 

The Secretary’s duty is to keep a record of the actions authorized by the partners and notify partners of meetings and other activities.  The secretary will assist the governing board in developing, maintaining and monitoring the operating structure of the Investment Club.  The secretary will also be responsible for keeping the records of all meetings of the Investment Club, and distribute said and approved minutes according to the policy and procedure of the association.

 Essential Functions

bulletRecord and maintain the minutes of all meetings of the Investment Club.

 

bulletAssist in the development and maintenance of the operational structure of the association.

 

bulletOrganize, monitor and manage a computerized database of the membership and the structure of the Investment Club, which will include, but not limited to information about the function of the Investment Club, committees, policy and procedures and general business of the club.

 

bulletDistribute minutes to Board members (by mail, email, or in-person). Generate correspondence to members of the executive committee, team representatives and others as necessary, or as directed by the President.

 

bulletMaintain personnel records and reports of all members of the board as assigned by the President.  All records shall be help in strict confidence and reviewed only by designated members of the governing board appointed by the President.

 

bulletNotify Board members of meetings (by telephone, email, mail, or in-person), within 72 hours of board meetings and within 10 days of a general monthly meeting.
