All of us at bivio are deeply saddened by the tragedies in New York City, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania, and we extend our condolences to those who have lost loved ones. We also want to express our sincerest gratitude to the individuals across the United States who are assisting in the relief effort; from the police, firefighters, national guardsmen, paramedics, medical staff and iron workers who are risking their lives in the recovery efforts, to individual citizens who are donating blood, food and money to the relief effort.
In light of the recent disaster it has become an immediate priority for us to add a Charitable Gift (or Donation) category to the accounting application. This new feature will become available to treasurers tomorrow. Your club can support relief efforts by making a donation to the
American Red Cross. When donating to other organizations, please be cautious of direct mail, telemarketing or online scams. If you suspect any fraudulent activity, please report it to
The National Fraud Information Center.
When your club next meets, some members may be concerned about the direction of the markets. This is not the time to panic. Now is the time to be resolved that you are investing in the long-term prosperity of this great nation. Holding your portfolio and adding to your investments will pay off as we, and our economy, grows.
We have received many moving messages from members since last Tuesday, including Mark Carey's post to the bivio
Club Cafe. Mark inspired us to add support for club charitable gifts - thank you.
We wish you, your club members, your friends and families all the best during this time of sorrow and rebuilding.
Sincerely,
All of us at bivio
