| The Change User Preferences button appears on most pages, if they
are relevant to the page. For example, you'll see
Style on most pages, but
you'll only see
List Size on pages which contain lists.
You can also change all of your preferences in
My Site
under
Administration
>
Preferences.
Preferences are sticky. They are associated with your
User Id and are stored in our database. If you go to a new
browser, you'll get the same set of preferences.
The following preferences are available:
Style - defines the font size.
We may add more styles, e.g. for Web TV and
Web Phones. The default
Style is Normal.
List Size - defines how many lines are returned
on each page. The default is 15 lines. We give you quite a
range of choices. The larger the number, the bigger the overview.
The smaller the number, the faster the page is returned to you.
Show Inactive Accounts - by default is unchecked so
you only see the active account in your club. An account will be
marked as inactive if it has a zero balance for at least three months.
If this happens, the account disappears from your Account Summary
page. To see active accounts, simply check this box.
Show Inactive Investments - by default your current
holdings are displayed in the Investment Summary and other reports.
Past holdings, that is, investments which you sold off completely,
are not displayed. To see these, simply check this box.
Show Withdrawn Members - by default you only see the
current members of your club. When a member withdraws all his or her
money from the club, the member disappears from the Roster, Member
Summary, and other pages. Check this box if you would like to see
withdrawn and current members on these pages.
Wrap Lines - defines how lines will be wrapped
when you compose email messages and invites. The default is to wrap
lines (the box is checked). To keep the formatting in composition
windows exactly as you see it, uncheck this box.
Block junk email - blocks most unsolicited commercial
email (UCE), also known as spam, junk mail, and bulk mail, from reaching
you through your email alias at our site. This is on by default, but you
can turn it off if you feel that you are missing important mail.
Block email with executable content - blocks incoming mail that
has potentially hazardous attachments by default. If you are
missing important mail, uncheck this box at your discretion. In all cases,
you should run anti-virus software on your PC.
