The Northern Traders Investment Club is a BetterInvesting Mid Michigan Chapter model club which meets monthly in Traverse City in beautiful northern Michigan. We are an educational club. We meet on the third Thursday of the month at 6:45 at the United Way Building at 521 Union Street in Traverse City. Enter the meeting through the back door. We have just begun making real investments in our club to aid in our mission to learn and teach investing. We also have a theoretical portfolio which was created as an entry in the yearly Stock Pickers contest. For the Stock Pickers contest, an imaginary $100,000 investment was made Nov. 1, 2009. The contest ends on Nov 1, 2010. All are welcome to join our meeting online and learn about investing with us. There is no charge for attending. Find out more about joining.
