Welcome to Pachira Investment Club!

money tree Pachira aquatica is a plant that is commonly known as the "Money Tree". As you plant a seed to grow a tree, we are planting the seeds of our financial futures. Pachira Investment Club is our Money Tree.

Who are we? We are a group of individuals, all of whom happen to work in IT, that have a desire to earn as much money as we can. Want to contact us? We welcome all comments - click here to send us an email.

Most investment clubs utilize a passive investment strategy, one that is typically referred to as 'buy and hold'. While that may be appropriate for some investors, Pachira Investment Club employs an aggressive investment strategy through active management of our investment portfolio. Pachira has a 'Chief Investment Officer' who directs the investing strategy of the club and manages our portfolio on a daily basis.

Our Chief Investment Officer is the President and one of the founding members of Pachira Investment Club. He selects the securities in which the Club will invest and he executes all of the investment transactions, with the goal of producing a return at least twice that of our benchmark index. Click here to see how successful (or unsuccessful) he is in investing the Club's money!

Our Treasurer is the Executive Vice President of the Club; in addition to handling the Club's finances, he serves as the Assistant Investment Officer.

With the volatility of the current market, the opportunities for significant gains (or losses) exist on a daily basis. You don't have to invest in an equity and wait a year for it to return 10%. Is it even advisable to hold an investment for an extended period of time? If you have been watching the market's action over the last year, you have seen many stocks 'valued' (or trading) at $100 on Friday and - by Monday - the stock's price has dropped to $50, having lost 50% of its value. Too many stocks, including the so-called "Blue Chip" stocks, have lost so much since this economic decline began.

How can someone invest using a 'fundamental analysis' of a company when you cannot even guesstimate the company's earnings? While it's easy to determine the company's price, how do you accurately determine the company's earnings? Many companies are missing their estimated earnings each quarter - and the stock's price pays for it.

How can you invest for the long term when we have a President, along with his administration, that appear to be 'hostile' to investors? There seems to be a huge target on Wall Street - various members of Congress are taking these bad economic times as their opportunity to punish 'Big Business'. The President appears to have 'taken aim' at various economic sectors - healthcare & pharmaceutical companies, for example - and those 'targets' immediately drop in price. The markets do not like uncertainty - and the biggest uncertainty right now are the politicians running our country.

Pachira Investment Club has long term financial goals just not long term investments; we will not 'buy and hold' stocks for the long term. We feel that the risks involved in that stratey are too great - we would be just as likely to lose 50% of our investment as we would be to double our money. Our goal is to constantly evaluate potential investments and select those that will provide us with short term gains of at least 15%.

Thanks for visiting our site! We wish you the best in reaching your financial goals.
