Subject: YBYA stuff Date: Sun, 11 Feb 2001 20:18:48 -0500 From: Mary To: Tom , Celina & Mark , Marta , Pat , Jim , Paula Riddle , Jim Johnson , TammyandNick , "Nicholas.Furnary" Greetings! Hope everyone got to go out and play sometime on Friday and enjoy that spring weather!! This is to request agenda items for the next meeting and nominate stock for review. >From the last meeting: ? How to conduct business without all members present, especially if members do not notify the hosting member of absence. (This has been discussed before). ? How to better ensure that payments are deposited and checks written to Scottsdale prior to the meeting so that orders may be entered via internet for purchase of stock at the end of each meeting. ? Members sending agenda items and companies they will be presenting prior to the meeting so Marta can get clearance prior to the meetings…..Again so shares can be purchased at the end of each meeting. It was suggested that an e-mail reminder go out to all members giving a deadline for submission of items for the agenda and companies that will be presented. ? Not holding meetings on months that agenda items and companies won' t be presented was offered. ? Setting up a set schedule of meetings for 2001 for member planning purposes……will we meet on Saturday's or will a schedule which alternates Tuesday and Saturday meetings best meet everyone's lives. ? Scheduling company presentations by members for 2001. ? Members declaring industries in which they will become lead/expert for YBYA. ? General discussion of members taking responsibility for becoming more disciplined in activities associated with YBYA. If you want to be a "personal" member of NAIC please bring a check for $14 so we can mail in individual memberships with the club membership. Someone please bring the Club checkbook so that business can be done next meeting. I need everyone's social security number to file the 1065 and K-1s...I'll do them and make a copy for everyone's files. So if you don't have it memorized please bring it so we can submit the required form to IRS in a timely manner. I'd like to review the following stocks for potential investment next meeting: SFP industry appliances AAI transportation (the old ValuJet) SERO Cabot St. Letter is recommending it its medical....blood business CYTC medical, screening for cervical cancer...suppose to be better than a regular pap smear I'll also send under separate cover the most recent Cabot St. Letter.
