Subject: 1065 and K-1s...top companies on screeners Date: Sun, 28 Jan 2001 20:53:07 -0500 From: Mary To: Tom , Celina & Mark , Tammy & Nick , Marta , Pat , Jim , Paula Riddle Greetings! The attached Excel file includes summaries of the Scottsdale and Provident accounts for 2000 and also an overall financial summary for 2000. The bottome line is each capital account (each member) had expenses of $17.30 and earned interest of .97 for those that are preparing income tax submittals now. The Scottsdale summary reflects the buy date not closing dates of share purchases (IRS rule). I will attempt to complete the 1065 and the K-1s and have the K-1s ready for distribution at the next stock club meeting. ( No not meeting the 1/30 IRS distribution date) Because we didn't sell any stock there are no capital gains/losses to report. Being homebound with a cold a few days this week, I ran the four evaluators on Excite Investing and thought some of you may be interested in conducting further research on some of the companies, which were STRONG interest and met the criteria used. One that showed up in two screens (Waren Buffet and NAIC) was PPD. Doesn' look very exciting, but two screens had it in the top fifty. Others by screen are listed below: Motley Fool SEI, TMBR, CWEI, CATT, TMR, CTAC, LD, POG, PENG, FRNT Warren Buffet Method SABC, ECIL, KOSS, MSB, WBPR, XETA, JOB DHI NAIC method DLP, INTL, SFP,SFE, SPLS, PPD PZZA, CHCS Blue Chip Value Method LEE, EIX, DAL, FSCR, BED, HERBA, TG, VLO, HUG My notes also include, Gentex, Harrah's Entertainment, Pfizer Inc. and Wendy's (but I haven't a clue why.) See you at the next meeting! --------------------------------------------------------------------- Name: yearend2000ybya.xls yearend2000ybya.xls Type: Excel File (application/msexcel) Encoding: base64
