My club has held Cognizant for a number of years, and we were thinking about adding to our position except for that bribery scandal. Having never been in this situation before, how serious is this and how long is the legal action likely to drag on?

I imagine like any legal issue that the impact will depend on the specifics of the case.

Have you spent any time reading information provided by the company such as Earnings conference calls, 8-K and 10-Q reports where they might discuss the potential impact of the problem?

I'd recommend that as something you might do to see if they will provide any further insight.

By law they are required to state the possible risks in their financial statements.
