Changing the EIN
We are starting a new club and the person who got the EIN
initially will not be the Point of Contact (POC) for the
club with the IRS and brokerage house. I thought it would be
fine to just keep the EIN the same name and address but he
really wants his name off of it. I believe it is not a
problem but he is concerned. So I will ask two questions: 1)
how important is it that the EIN address and POC is the same
as in Bivio and our Brokerage house?; 2) if we need to
change the information (and so far no information has been
put into an account associated with this specific EIN), is
it easy to just edit the POC and the address on the EIN. I
think it is nothing, but doesn't think so. Any guidance?
