AccountSync - Edward Jones
Becky can I have your phone number to give to Edward Jones IT DEPT? We really need to have our system repaired to accept account sync. My number is 530-340-2448. My first correspondence with Bivio and Edward Jones was May 4. It has been over two months and we have not had any downloads from Edward Jones since April 12 Bivio really needs to take the lead on this problem and have it fixed. Hi All,

Here's an update on all the issues:

The Edward Jones problem was escalated by a branch manager. As soon as they fix the issue on their end, we are in business. Feel free to contact EJ.

The Schwab issue is more complicated. Yodlee is not working. We can't get them to fix it. We are working with Schwab directly now. This will take some weeks to program. We apologize, but we did not know that Yodlee was not using Schwab's new API when we moved to them on Schwab's recommendation.

ETrade is more problematic. We call them, and get to technical people, but then no action. The best thing I can say is for clubs to call ETrade and tell them to add our internet address 170.187.200.41 to their allowed list of OFX clients. We will continue calling, of course.

We also got hit by a change of protocols and server issues at our data provider (CSI) a few weeks back. CSI responded immediately. With some programming and testing on our end, this was fixed within 24 hours.

I think we have finally gotten AT&T/Yahoo/etc. to send email to your inboxes. The final change they said will be installed tomorrow.

Our new internet address was used by a spammer. We did not know this at the time, and in the cloud, you do not get to pick your internet addresses. The IP was not on any public block lists when we checked. It's the private block lists that you can't check until you have a problem.

The new ISP has had a 100% uptime, which has been great.

One of our programmers was out part of last week and this weekend with COVID, which has not helped.

It has been a really difficult time for our technical staff (which includes me). Our support people have been stellar in helping us smoothing things out. Please be kind to them.

Thanks,
Rob

Hi Peter et al,

Uh, I am the dummy here. What is Yodlee? OFX? CSI?

I apologize for the jargon.

OFX - Open Financial Exchange is a data format that many brokers use to provide accounting information to services like ours.

CSI - Commodity Systems, Inc. is a data provider from which we receive official closing prices to compute valuations. You'll notice their name on the bottom of your Accounting Investments page.

Yodlee - Entvest Yodlee is a data aggregation service which integrates with financial institutions to provide accounting information to us. We were using them to download account transactions for clubs which use Schwab.

Cheers,
Rob

WiG's is with Schwab. So, what do you suggest we do?  Load material manually until this is fixed, then delete duplicates?

Your statement makes it sound like because Yodlee is not
working, no Schwab accounts can autosync. However, our club
uses Schwab as its broker. The autosync is working for us,
including a download last night of eight transactions. The
problem you describe must be affecting only a subset of
Schwab customers.

You may be already aware that some Schwab accounts are
autosyncing. If not, perhaps it will aid you in
troubleshooting.

Yes, the problem is with entering the credentials into AccountSync via Yodlee. If your account was already linked (and didn't get unlinked, which seems to happen), downloads will continue to work.

Rob
Hi Joan,

That would be perfectly fine.

We'll do our best to help avoid duplicates for clubs that enter their accounting manually.

Thanks,
Rob
