History

The Mahogany Money Machine (M3) investment club began in the fall of 1999 in Oakland, California to help educate its members about investing in the stock market. The creation of the club was inspired by a BGESS financial seminar given by Al Crawford that showed the benefits of belonging to an investment club. The club initially consisted of six members and was formally established as a general partnership in the state of California on January 23rd, 2000. The club is a member of Better Investing, an organization that provides resources and support for investment clubs.

Mission
