discrepancy between Bivio and Broker
Our club has recently decided to disband. After selling all stock, the Brokerage shows $750.00 less than Bivio shows. How can I find this difference?
SUGGESTION:
Think of BIVIO as your check register and the BROKER as the bank.
Actually no matter what BIVIO says, you only have the $$ the BROKER says and that is what all the 1099s will report to the Feds, etc.

Verify that all recent transactions were downloaded to BIVIO correctly (comparing what BIVIO recorded versus what BROKER recorded).  Correct any errors in BIVIO.  The amount that is so specific that it should be easy to locate, but you never know.

If there is still a discrepancy, you will have to dig deeper.  You can go to BIVIO REPORTS and generate a TRANSACTION ledger for 2017, searching again for a difference between what your BROKER recorded as happening against BIVIO.   This assumes that everything was reconciled at the end of 2016 when you filed your tax returns such that you would only need to check the 2017 transaction register.

GOOD LUCK.

If you have a cash balance discrepancy between bivio and your broker, these are the steps you should take to find out the reason for it:

Correcting Cash Balance Discrepancies

If you don't know how to correct what you find, send the specifics to support@bivio.com and we will let you know what will need to be done to fix them.

Since bivio information is used to fill in your tax forms, it is very important that it is correct before you use bivio to prepare them.
