I'm totally in the 1/3rd.

When I pay taxes I find profound satisfaction in the task, I appreciate the outcome - understanding the family's finances - & I am immensely grateful that:
  • my family makes enough money to sustain us and that we manage our resources well enough so we don't get "surprised" by taxes
  • that my community is full of people who also contribute & who care about creating safety nets, infrastructure and opportunities for all.
  • that I live in a country where, despite our many disagreements, we provide relative peace and stable governance.
I like to play board games; taxes are just game where you get to play with resource management.

Nice comments Heidi, thanks.

I find accounting and taxes to be like doing puzzles too. I like to figure out how to solve the questions.
