Attn Clubs That Use Folio
Just to let you know, I called a couple of days ago. The person who
answered said he would do the needful. He did not ask me to send anything in
writing.

Laurie,
I just got off the phone with Folio about this
issue. The representative I spoke to said they must receive the request
in writing....email is acceptable as long as it is being sent from the email
address on file of the account administrator. In the subject line
include "ATTN: Reyna" In the body, along with your request to remove the
2nd factor authentication, include your account number, account username, and
note that your club uses bivio to transfer data.
The process should take 24-48 hours, but you will not
receive a response.

Hi
All,
Just
an update on this. It is apparently not enough to just
login to Folio and select "Skip" once to temporarily bypass the
2 factor page.
You
need to actually call Folio and tell them you use bivio and you
need to have the screen removed so that bivio will be able to
access your club transaction data. They can do that until
the 30 day implementation period is up. They should be
able to tell you how long it will take to make the change.
Once
it has gone through, you may need to enter your Folio
login credentials in bivio to start AccountSync back up
again. |

Thank
you for sending the screen capture Len. As you all can
see, the "Skip for now" link toward the bottom is what you
should choose to delay implementing the 2 factor for 30 days
so you don't break your AccountSync connection right now.
Google
Authenticator is an app for your phone which will generate a
code that you'll need to enter along with your userID and
password when you login to Folio.
You'll
need to generate and use this extra code every time you login
from a new device or if it has been more than 30 days since
you last generated a code. It will make your login more
secure but it will also be a bit more of a pain.
Since
we don't have to login to your actual trading account, we are
working with Folio to set up a way that we can access
your transaction data from a view only account which
they have said will not require 2 factor and therefore will
not disrupt AccountSync.
We
hope to have something for you to try within the next week or
two. If your club uses Folio and you'd like to help us
out with the trial, let us know at support@bivio.com |

[club_cafe] Attn Clubs That Use Folio
We were told they
were implementing this for everyone on Saturday. They
may have delayed their rollout for some accounts. I do
know that quite a few have already been affected but we have
no way to know exactly when any specific account will be
affected.
I'd recommend you
contact them to find out when to expect the change for your
club account (and ask them to delay
it). |

Hi
All,
If your
investment club uses Folio Investing as a brokerage and
bivio AccountSync to automatically enter your
transactions into bivio, you need to take
action.
We have been
made aware that Folio is implementing 2 factor
authentication for all of their accounts. They
may have offered this to you already, but starting on
Saturday October 22, they will be implementing it
for all Folio accounts.
This means
that when you login into your Folio account after
Saturday, you will be asked whether you'd like to
set up 2 factor authentication. At this point,
if you'd like to keep your AccountSync link with
bivio working, you should answer no. This
will delay the implementation for 30
days.
We are working
with them to determine a work around for getting your
data into bivio so eventually you'll be able to get the
2 factor going. We should have more details for
you on what that is in the next week or
so.
Make sure to
login sometime soon after Saturday to tell them to hold
off on making the change and avoid any issues with
keeping your AccountSync connection
working. |
