ISRG Split
We had put options on this stock at the time of the split and the change was reflected in the option prices available.

It was actually a split and not a dividend see the announcement by ISRG on the attached link - they state that it was a 3 for 1 split

Greetings!

Two weeks ago our position in Intuitive Surgical tripled.  Scottrade says it was 'stock dividend' rather than 'stock split'; in any case the increase never showed up in Bivio.  How do i fix this?

For the purposes of your bivio investment club accounting, there is no difference between a stock dividend and a stock split.

If you own shares, you'd record the split using the "Split" button on the Accounting>Investments page. This was a 3 to 1 split. The date it was effective was 10/6 which was the date the shares began trading at the split adjusted price.

If you were owed fractional shares in the split, they will have been sold for an amount of "Cash in lieu". You can also enter that on the split entry form. It can also be entered later as a sale of the fractional shares using the "Sold" button on the Accounting>Investments page.

Make sure the cost basis of each of your lots shown on the bivio investment lost cost basis report is the same as what the broker shows after the split entry is made.

We're also glad to make these entries for you. Just email us at support@bivio.com

If you own options affected by the split, the entries are different. You don't enter a split of the options themselves, you enter a merger of the old ticker into the updated ticker.

Again, we are glad to help you make those entries of you email us in support.
