Section 199A dividend
Our club owns AMT (a REIT) and each year I allocate the
dividend as Qualified or Ordinary in Bivio after I receive
the 1099. This year the 1099 shows the dividend as
Qualified or Section 199A. Section 199A is not a selection
in Bivio's drop down list when I edit the dividend. What
should I do?

This is a new type of dividend classification for REIT's. If you have hold the shares paying the dividend for at least 45 days, it may be eligible for an extra tax deduction on your personal taxes.

We are working now to add the ability to handle it to the program. You'll have the capability to address it when the tax program is released.

When will the tax program to handle the REIT dividends be
released?

I know REITs are not recommended for investment clubs, but we have owned one for several years and it makes a lot of money.      I had to adjust BIVIO tax stuff each year before this but now there is a new IRS wrinkle (as I understand it) in reporting and BIVIO is going to address that when the tax program is released.  I just want to know when it will be released by BIVIO
