I have a question about 2 of our stocks, Charlottes Web and
BioNTech. On our TDAmeritrade portfolio it has Canada
beside the name of Charlottes Web, but if you look at their
website it says they are a Colorado company. On BioNTech,
is it a German company? I am getting conflicting
information from our members who follow the stock. Thanks

You want the country of incorporation. To find this, go to the Edgar Search page on the SEC site:

https://www.sec.gov/edgar/search/

Type in your ticker

You will get to a page that looks like this:

Select All annual and Quarterly Reports in the field at the bottom on the left.

This will give you a list of recent financial filings. If you open them, you will see a "State or Country of Incorporation" field in the header section of the report. This shows an example for Charlottes Web:

You can see its country of incorporation is Canada.

You can follow these steps for BNTX also.

Laurie provided the quick and most accurate way in Edgar to verify Charlotte's Web Holdings real 'incorporation' location. With a little digging I did find on their website (www.charlottesweb.com) under the link Financials then Financial Statements, their incorporation details on page 8 as shown below under company overview.

1. Company overview

Charlotte's Web Holdings, Inc. (together with its subsidiaries, the "Company") is a public company incorporated pursuant to the laws of the Province of British Columbia. The Company's common shares are publicly listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange ("TSX") under the symbol "CWEB."

The Company's head office is located at 1801 California St., Suite 4800, Denver, CO, 80202, United States and its registered and records office is located at 2800 Park Place, 666 Burrard Street, Vancouver, British Columbia V6C 2Z7, Canada

If you go back to the TDAmeritrade website and enter the ticker symbol (CWBHF) and then click on Company Profile (green color) that is right below the full name, it mentions it is Canada based.
