NJ electronic filing
Has anyone been successful in filing online with NJ?
What's the secret?
Bernie W
I have spent the past hour and a half trying everything I can without success. Someone else posted that they were able to file once they added the Internet Explorer tab extension which gave me hope but I tried that in Microsoft Edge and in Chrome and neither worked so I am fresh out of ideas!
I did find out that even though I'm unable to file the taxes via their site I was able to submit for an extension so I can bug a friend who keeps an old computer around for just these instances (and you're also able to pay them despite not being able to do anything else - ha!)
I have the secret sauce that may get you through the NJ system, but it's too late tonight for me to write it all up. NJ-1065 isn't due until April 15, so I'll write it up over the weekend and post it here.

We have been filing our NJ taxes for years with no problems but I've found I MUST use Internet Explorer.  It will not work with Chrome or Firefox.
Using your windows computer, type internet in the App search window to see If IE is installed.  Your computer probably has IE already on it. Use it.

After trying all mentioned browsers, found a computer in our
computer lab that had IE but it needed Java installed. I
was able to install java but got a message that the Java App
blocked the state's website due to not meeting high or very
high security settings.

The location in question was www1.state.nj.us which was
blocked.

I'd appreciate any further information on the successes
other folks have with electronic filing of the NJ 1065.
U need Internet Explorer and turn on the compatibility view.  But I have the same problem because MSFT is not supporting explorer and u cannot download it.  I tried to enable Edge.  Did not work.  I called 609-393-6400, NJ customer service but they are so busy they hung up. I'm going to call 609-292-9292, NJ Division of Revenue & Enterprise Service.   I tried calling MSFT 800-642-7676.  Did not work either.  NJ taxes are due Apr 18th but if I have no solution by then, I'm mailing in NJ taxes.

Where is the best place to mail these taxes in? I haven't found a way to file online
Brittany,

If you get blocked at the start for not being registered with NJ, go to https://www.njportal.com/DOR/BusinessRegistration/Home/FirstStep and follow the steps to register a general partnership (assuming that's what your club is). At some point in the process, you will be asked to enter a four digit industry code. Use 2600. Answer the other questions the best you can. I believe it will take a few days for you to become registered and gain access to the webfile site.

If you get into the webfile site, but get stopped by a screen that says you don't have Java installed, you need to use Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge. You may still need to set a compatibility setting. You can try calling (609) 292-6400 for taxation support or (609) 292-9292 for support with registration issues.

I still haven't found a solution for this. I have tried to file online but can't get very far past the log in screen due to compatibility issues (even after installing microsoft edge, running an IE virtual machine, re-installing Java, etc) I had a friend who runs a major tech organization try to file for me on an old windows machine he has but also he ran into a lot of issues and, even after jumping into the code to try and troubleshoot, was unable to file. I filed for an extension a while back so I have time, but I'm unsure of the next best steps given that online filing seems unlikely and I haven't been able to find an option for mailing. Has anyone successfully filed their NJ return this year? Any suggestions?
