Out of state partners
Hi.

Our club treasurer just printed our club's tax return for the second time. As with everyone, there were a lot more pages to print this year as well as having to redo it after Air Lease changed its classification of dividends. Costs (printing and mailing) have more than doubled from 2020.

Our club started over 30 years ago in one town but our partners, new and old, are now spread out all over the place. How are your clubs dealing with the cost of printing and mailing for the members who are not in the state where the club is based and whose states require a hard copy filing? I figure this year we will absorb the cost but if this happens again...

Here's to all the club treasurers who have slugged through this year's taxes!!!

I as past treasurers absorbed the cost, but not this year. I am putting forth a motion to have treasurer reimbursed. As treasurer I will pay redos that are my fault.
This year it is way out of hand and quite honestly any expense by a member besides time put in should be compensated, regardless of what happened or was done in past years.

Maybe I'm off base, but can't partners print out as needed if they have a hard copy filing requirement or some other need?

I have my partners print a copy themselves. I mailed the Federal and State returns only and get reimbursed.
