Status of Schwab Sync
I have just been informed by our club Treasurer that the
sync process with Schwab still does not work.

Can you please confirm the status of the sync problems with
Schwab? Should all clubs with Schwab accounts now be able to
sync with Bivio? Or are there still problems that prevent
this? What is the timeline for fixing this problem?

Thanks,
Dan Lapp
Hi Dan,

Schwab seems to be moving along. We contact them regularly. They haven't given us a timeline, unfortunately.

Cheers,
Rob

Rob
What I don’t understand if they (Schwab) is “working” to validate and approve Bivio; why are some clubs linked and others not. Seems like those who caught it right after it happened are still connected!

Very frustrating!

HI Dan,

Some clubs were still connected through Yodlee, and it still works. We don't know why. We have asked Yodlee to fix their end, and they haven't.

Cheers,
Rob

Rob, we ( Webbers ) had been successfully linked with Schwab for many months via Yodlee Integration however the sync "broke" last April/May - 2022.  Since that time we have been unable to sync our Bivio / Schwab account and it is causing major frustration for our members and for me as the Financial Officer!!

Good afternoon Daniel, thank you for chatting with us today! How can I help with your account this afternoon?

Hailey W, 4:35 PM
I am the treasurer for an investment club that uses Schwab and Bivio softeware to track our nvesmtents. In March/

4:36 PM
april for somereason the linkage was broked

4:37 PM
some of the clubs were able to get back on but a large number of accounts on Bivio have not

4:37 PM
Help get us reconnected!

4:38 PM
How was this connection originally established?

Hailey W, 4:38 PM
Bivio and Schwab have been connected for over 10 years.

4:40 PM
I meant, did you set up a profile on their application and use your Schwab login credentials. to link the information?

Hailey W, 4:41 PM
Some accounts at Bivio got reconnected via Yodlee and others have not since end of March

4:41 PM
yes

4:42 PM
Ok, have you attempt to redo that process?

Hailey W, 4:43 PM
yyes

4:43 PM
Ok, I'll check our third-party sharing information to see if something has changed in that relationship.

Hailey W, 4:43 PM
thanks

4:44 PM
Ok, I found some information that includes Bivio AccountSync. Is that the right one?

Hailey W, 4:46 PM
yes

4:47 PM
It appears it's not longer supported due the way in which Bivio retrieves the data.

Hailey W, 4:48 PM
I'm double check with our technical team if they have any additional information or clarification on that.

Hailey W, 4:48 PM
well some of the club STILL get their info....

4:48 PM
Are those clubs accounts also with Schwab?

Hailey W, 4:49 PM
yes

4:50 PM
I'll let them know, but he's saying that the changes limited the third party access to only quicken or turbo tax.

Hailey W, 4:52 PM
It could be possible to download a CSV and then upload it to that program, but I don't know how other clients can still be getting information from using login credentials, it's not supposed to be possible anymore.

Hailey W, 4:53 PM
does that mean investment clubs can only use quicken and turbotax softwaer for their individualclubs?

4:53 PM
That's all Schwab clients, no matter account type.

Hailey W, 4:54 PM
He's sending me a link that has some more detail on what programs would be usable for third- party acces.

Hailey W, 4:55 PM
This is the full list of applications and providers who've agreed to our Data Access terms, but Bivio hasn't:
Envestnet/Yodlee
Intuit (TurboTax, Mint, and Quickbooks)
eMoney Advisor

Morningstar
Finicity
Fiserv

Hailey W, 4:56 PM
You can reach out to Bivio about it, and if they want to agree to those new terms Bivio can do that here: https://developer.schwab.com/

The automatic link on their site will no longer work. That list I sent is the only third party application that can be used to automatically load in data. The only other options is to downloads something like a CSV file that can then be uploaded to the third-party program.

Hailey W, 5:04 PM
how can I down load a CSV of the transactions

5:05 PM

Hailey W, 5:05 PM

Schwab said Yodlee would be OK. They said nothing about your doing it. Link may or may not work.

I was referring to Biivio's following directions which I got to on Bivio site under missing brokerage account. I don't know what more I can do and suspect the ball is in your court.
AccountSync Schwab setup

If your club uses Schwab as your broker, these are the steps you need to take to get AccountSync set up.

1. Schwab Website

  1. Grant Secure Limited Access to bivio from within your Schwab Account

Log into the Schwab website and find the "Service" tab up top. Then click on the "Security Center" link and scroll down to "Third Party Access...". Click on the Enable button and Save. (security center is not on the service tab. They had to tell me where it is but to tell me where it is but that did not work. Ed)
