Capital gain/loss report
Hello ,
I have been the treasurer of our club for nine years and have had no problem with the Capital Gains/losses reports each year. Recently , we sold all of our holdings to enable us to disband. I have the brokers Realized gains/losses report and it has been difficult to compare it to our report. We had 16 stocks and 14 of them have the same problem of not agreeing with the broker.

It appears in our stocks , that the youngest and oldest do not agree with the broker within a given stock. Upon investigating further , I found within the bivio system information for a given stock can be difficult. You can and do get two sets of numbers for the same thing. This is the situation for the 14 stocks.

Is anyone else having similar issues ? Can anyone offer any information on how to correct this?

Richard

If you bought your stocks in different lots, at different prices, and then sold some from different lots, you have to tweak Bivio to tell it from which lots you sold.

What is surprising is that there were no discrepancies in prior years when the tax returns were prepared and you had to reconcile Bivio to the broker's statements.

Question, is Bivio sending out e mails asking people to re validate their email?

No. This is certainly phishing.

Thanks for letting us know.
