Schwab Problem treasurerss
Club account is listed in my personal stock account and when I click on either the balance or summery tabs the total includes the club amount too. Investment clubs need a separate stand-alone account and never list or show-up in personal accounts.

I had two personal accounts with TDA, plus I am treasurer of the investment club also with TDA. When the transition to Schwab occurred , I was surprised that all three accounts( my 2 personal accounts plus that of the investment club) popped up under my user name and password. Your personal accounts are safe however, as there will never be a need for you to share your username and password with anyone else in the club. However, I do intend to talk with Schwab to see how to separate my personal accounts (perhaps with separate username and password). With Schwab only the designated agents of the club can get into the club account. They will not see your personal accounts because the other agents will have separate usernames and passwords .

Your Schwab login provides access to all accounts that you
have legal authority to access. Besides my personal
accounts, my login provides access to accounts owned by
another person for which I have power of attorney, and
accounts owned by trusts for which I am a co-trustee.

On the Summary page, you can click on the "Settings" symbol
and elect which accounts you want included in the Summary
totals. Using this feature, you can exclude the investment
club assets from the Summary total for your personal
accounts. You can add non-Schwab accounts as well if you
want to have the Summary figures include assets held at
other banks or brokerage firms.

Under "Profile" you can mark accounts into groups that have
a similarity. Here you could group personal accounts into a
different group than the investment club account.

Cheers, Jack
Thank you Jack. I'll look into that. It doesn't bother me much but it would be nice to separate my personal accounts.

If you want to totally remove the club account from your personal accounts page, you have to call Schwab and they will separate it for you and help you set up a different login for the club account. At first, I was uncomfortable with having all accounts show up on my one login. Now, that I understand it better, I see that it could add convenience to see everything with one login. I think that is a matter of personal choice. The only real problem would be that a person could accidentally make a trade on the wrong account. So, if you don't want to trust yourself in that scenario, definitely call Schwab to get it separated.
