Cost basis
We have owned one stock since 2000 and this is now with our
third
broker due to transfer and purchase of previous
broker..Schwab now lists the cost basis as 0.
The real cost basis is obviously not 0. How does this get
worked out?
The real cost basis is what is shown in your bivio records. If you sell the stock, Schwab will report the basis as "unknown". You (bivio) will prepare your tax return with the correct cost basis.
