Our Club Moved from Schwab to Fidelity on 01/02/2026

Our Club Moved from Schwab to Fidelity on 01/02/2026 Justin: We cannot catch a break as Schwab could no longer service our needs and we love our Fidelity folks but now I see I cannot sync. What should I do while waiting for the fix to get our records "moved" from Schwab as our broker to Fidelity? You are not alone! Our club moved from Ameritrade to Schwab (who was so so rude) to Fidelity on 12/20/2025. Fidelity has been great to work with and a fix is coming sooner than later:) I share your frustration and the time and effort that it took to switch everything! Bivio has been great, but they should have seen this coming down the pike and alerted their clubs. The subscription fee was raised significantly either last year or the year before. So BIVIO, why did it take a member club to get involved to get the fix with Fidelity negotiated? Don't misunderstand me, I am glad that BIVIO exists, but it has definite limitations as a software provider. I am not so sure that they even know their limitations, but would be glad to discuss with someone from BIVIO. Looking forward to the implementation of the Schwab fix!! The way that we had been getting Fidelity data was through a publicly accessible system (their OFX server). It would have been possible for them to do, but Fidelity did not go through the effort to track down and contact everyone using that system before they shut off access. None of the many phone support representatives that we spoke to had any meaningful information about this shut-down or what vendors like us needed to do. We had started making a little headway through other avenues, but someone at Fidelity finally reached out to us, referencing an investor (club) that had reported that they were using bivio and had lost access. Again, we thank the clubs that reached out to Fidelity on our behalf and helped get things moving on restoring access to club data. We could have done a better job seeing this coming and preventing a lapse in access. For that I apologize. Elizabeth, please email support@bivio.com if you'd like to have a discussion. We would welcome any feedback. We are working on the final software changes required to use the new data provider with AccountSync. We are looking to start connecting clubs very soon. Until then, clubs can enter transactions manually if desired, but it shouldn't be long now. Justin Schell bivio, Inc. I believe the next logical question is: Is this likely to happen with the other brokerage firms? Quick question for those that are doing manual entries. Is there a possibility that there will be duplicate once the connection is linked via Autosync? What happens to those clubs that haven't done any manual entry? Sent from my iPhone 713.409.9867 On Jan 18, 2026, at 10:05 AM, Linda Glein via bivio.com <user*21345500001@bivio.com> wrote:
Linda, we have a direct relationship with Schwab and we're already using their newest data access method. There is very little chance that they would shut that off without warning us like Fidelity did. Schwab has easily the largest number of bivio clubs. There are also a good number of clubs using E*TRADE, though less than Schwab and Fidelity. We do need to update our support for E*TRADE's newer data access method and we plan to do so once we're done with the work for tax season. A few clubs use the one other broker that we currently support, Edward Jones and they are supported by one of the new data providers. Christiana, the way that AccountSync generally works is that it imports transactions starting from the date of the most recent transaction for the club. This is true whether that transaction was manually entered or imported by AccountSync. So, either way, there shouldn't be duplicated transactions. Justin Schell bivio
My investment club moved to Schwab after they took over TD Ameritrade. They insisted that our club be added to my personal Schwab account. Several conversations with them revealed two things: (1) their inflexibility as far as listing our club in a separate
account and (2) their lack of understanding what an investment club actually is. We switched to Fidelity and have been moderately pleased until this glitz with Bivio.
