Members Missed Dues

Hi,

How do you handle a member who hadn't communicated to the
rest of the members that they couldn't pay their monthly
dues? As a portion of the dues go towards any club expenses.
Any suggestions?

What do your bylaws say to do?

Absent of that, I vote for doing nothing except a partial withdrawal from their account to cover their portion of actual expenses.

What do your by-laws say?
If they do not cover this issue have a meeting and amend them.

We challenge anyone who misses 3 meetings in any 12 month period.
If someone has good reasons fine.
If they don’t - why are they in the club?
We have an effective club and we operate it like the business it is.
Without a satisfactory answer they can be expelled.
