fixing a minor accounting error in member withdrawal? New treasurer here. I made a minor accounting error in Bivio recording a member's full withdrawal. Would appreciate the method to correct it. 1. member's full share was worth $16598.47 --> but I wrote the check for $16598.74 (swapped the cents which added $0.27) 2. When the check appeared in Bivio,I figured I'd make the $0.27 a "fee" or whatever on the form for cashing out the member so that the check amount (16598.74) would equal the member's value (16598.47) plus 27 cents. But instead the fee got subtracted from member's value, and now the member's cash-out value is $0.27 cents under what it should be and we have an incoming check that doesn't exactly match a transaction. I know it's a minor amount but I'd like to be exact. Help! I can't "edit" the transaction - there's no edit button for that transaction like there is for all th eothers. Should I simply delete what I did and re-do? Will the incoming check from Schwab re-appear? I assume that the member already deposited the check. If not, fix and redo the check. Otherwise, you can delete the whole thing and redo it but you will still be off. I would contact Bivio and see what they say. New treasurer here. I made a minor accounting error in |
