Identifying Countries

In order to prepare your club taxes correctly, you will need to identify the country where each of your stocks is incorporated.

To find this, follow these steps:

Go to the Edgar Search page on the SEC site:
Type in your Ticker or the name of the company you are searching.
That will take you to a page that looks like this:
Select "All Annual and Quarterly Reports" in the field at the bottom on the left.
This will give you a list of recent financial filings. If you open them, you will see a "State or Country of Incorporation" field in the header section of the report. This shows an example for Charlottes Web:

In this example, you can see the country of incorporation is Canada.
