We own 18 stocks with 7 members. Some of these stocks are old buys such as AAPL, PANW, NVDA that need a brief comment at meetings. Newer ones are followed closely the first six months we own them. We use a "Portfolio Tracking Sheet" that is a spreadsheet with current price, cost basis, stock lots and dates of purchase, earnings date, percent gain, and overall gain/loss. In December, we will sell some of these to clean out those which have slowing growth. We also sell some of our lots as we hit a good profit margin but try not to sell a large amount in any one year so that our members do not have significant capital gains taxes to add to those from their private investment accounts. Our current year APP is 18.4%

I like that idea - Hatchery. Our watch list is long and though we reference it every month, we often end up 'watching' a stock for so long w/o ever actually buying it, that we miss the buying opportunity and take it off the watch list. Thanks for sharing your info!

We're a 15 member club with 48 stock holdings - consisting of:
- 13 members are responsible for tracking and reporting on 36 stocks
- 2 members are responsible for tracking and reporting on a cohort of 12 "Hatchery" stocks - these are typically high-risk, high-reward stocks that we make a minimal investment in (<$300) while we watch their growth potential. We find that having an interest in them (vs just on a watch list) forces us to pay attention to them. Two stocks have graduated from the Hatchery to our full portfolio.

Hello! We are a club of 12 members. We currently own 30 different stocks having just sold off three stocks completely. Each member is responsible for tracking 2 or 3 and reporting on them from time to time. We're curious to know how many stocks other clubs hold. Sometimes our roster seems a bit unwieldy. What do you think? Thanks in advance!
