Nonqualified dividend
We have one stock that paid a nonqualified dividend but was listed as a qualified dividend in Bivio. I want to change it but do not see a nonqualified option when I edit it. What do I do?

Hi,

If you need to reclassify a dividend as Ordinary (also called Non-Qualified) and you don't see that as a choice on the income entry form, go back to the start of step 2 of the tax prep process and make sure you have identified the affected investment as "Not 100% Qualified".

Just a reminder also that there is a difference between a "Non-dividend" distribution and a "Non-Qualified" distribution.

A Non-dividend distribution is entered as a Return of capital in bivio. It's a very important change to make as it will affect the cost basis of your stock.
